Resource link

http://www.pkwy.k12.mo.us/river/Classes.html
Great site sent to me

I was a Computer Resource Specialist for an elementary school. One of my responsibilities was creating and updating the school's web site. We made extensive use of Internet resources in all grades. This is the URL that will take you to each grade level. Once there, there will be resources for the entire grade (K-2) or home pages for a teacher (3-5). The subjects covered are dictated by our District frameworks. For example 2nd grade studies weather, but the weather resources there could be used from 2nd - 5th. Some of the upper grade departmentalize, so math may be with one teacher and social studies and science with another.

daisy math

http://daisymaths.com/au
Daisy Maths was written by an Australian math professor to teach his young daughter (named Daisy) math. It is great for preK - upper elmentary. It can be downloaded or used on-line. Download is Mac or PC. To change the level, click the Daisy in the upper left hand corner and various options for that level appear on the left hand panel.

Storyline

http://www.storylineonline.net/storyline/
This site features about a dozen children's books being read aloud by various celebrities. (e.g. Elijah Wood, Tia and Tamera Mowry, Al Gore...) What really adds to the appeal is that the celebrity is actually reading the book, but the book's illustrations have been panned, etc., to create a "movie."You'll need a high speed connection and Windows Media Player, Real Player, or Quick Time. Then the magic begins. Click the format of your choice. Once the "movie" begins to play, right click on the "movie" and zoom to full screen if you like. Each story is also accompanied by a summary, interesting bios for the author and the reader, and lesson plans which are rich, feasible, and adaptable.

What I also like is after you choose the image you want, and click on it, it will bring up the actual site the picture is located. Now you have the actual website for a resource if needed.
